Product Description:
About:
A pleasant tasting way to settle an acidic or irritated stomach.
Henry Blooms Slippery Elm Bark powder is a traditional ‘mucilaginous’ remedy. Mucilage is a complex mixture of polysaccharides extracted as a viscous or gelatinous fibre.
Slippery Elm is considered a bulk laxative as the mucilage absorbs water. It is important to drink plenty of water, especially if using this product for this effect.
Ingredients:
Each gram contains:
Slippery Elm (Ulmus rubra) bark powder
Prepared using premium powder 1 g (1000 mg)
No added gluten, wheat, yeast, animal products, lactose, milk derivatives, sugar, salt, artificial colours, flavours or preservatives.
Tips:
Of all the herbs used medicinally, Slippery Elm Bark is one of the most well-known and frequently used. The slippery elm is a medium-sized tree native to North America. In order to be used for medicinal purposes, the inner bark is dried and powdered.
In the 19th Century Elm Bark lozenges were recommended for professional singers with the advertorial, “Sing better with slippery elm” due to the soothing action of slippery elm on irritated mucous membranes.
Instructions:
Adults:
For powder: mix one 5 ml teaspoonful of Blooms Slippery Elm Bark powder into a smooth paste in half a cup of cold water. Fill the cup with hot water, stirring continuously.
